Re: BAP 2009

Vanagons are cool. Even if they are old. 8) I already have had a westy vanagon as a lawn ornament for the past 4 years... probably be selling it now since the new vehicle can pull a small camper... was considering fixing it up with $ from selling the cabriolet but I think we might just pay off some...

Re: BAP 2009

Well, seems that as of today Kellie will not be coming to the show in her Jetta wagon. I'll also tell you that it won't even be a Volkswagen. Had VW produced an affordable, economical vehicle that suited the needs of our growing family sometime in the past 10 years, we would be driving one of those....

Re: The past week in Car repiar

last week I replaced the non-functioning oil temperature sensor. today I've removed the instrument cluster to fix a bulb, and try to repair the old temperature gauge and reinstall it so it has one that's reading properly in it. (theory is that the current cis gauge goes off a different resistance cu...

Re: The past week in Car repiar

wow.. I've put in hundreds of spark plugs and never had that issue.. did have one that had a cracked insulator that was causing it to arc and miss though... someone probably dropped it before I got it. But then... we use both Beru and Bosch plugs depending on the application.

Re: Sponsor me & fight MS

Just an update on my progress for the MS fund raiser. In case you had forgotten the details, the event will be held on October 4th and 5th and is a two day, 150 mile bike ride to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. To highlight what impact a donation can make, here’s a summary o...

Re: selling the bordeaux hearlot, price?

Wow, after all the hard work you put into the Cabby, I am suprised ro hear this-especially that you did not bond with the car. Now I feel really bad about having your Scirocco :( nah, it wasn't that much work (to me anyway) - as far as the bond, I like the car, but I don't love it. It's probably a ...

selling the bordeaux hearlot, price?

shocking as it may seem - I'll probably be selling the cabriolet. In an effort to reduce monthly expenses I'll be selling it and the van (that I'll never be able to afford to fix anyway) in order to purchase a ~2k vehicle for kellie and sell her '02 jetta to eliminate the car payment. It isn't that ...

I just thought I would throw it out there - definitely no pressure of any sort.

it's 75 each day, so it's not too bad I'll be slurping down lots of goo I Guess.

almost ready... only a few more things to do. (clean the glass, vacuum floormats) coworker's homework for the weekend was to make the aluminum adapter nipple for my oil cooler, so I have to put that on and do an oil change yet.
