Re: The past week in Car repair

Excellent Brian. Can't wait to see the finished results. As for the top, sorry we are sticking with Grey, it seems to suit the car so much better than black/white. Ordered the coilovers yesterday to help with the front suspension & ride height. Next weekend should be very productive for the cabb...

Re: The past week in Car repair

Ha, not a chance. I'll stick to my 8ft shop lights that don't add any extra heat thank you. I certainly put a dent in getting the garage cleaned up and in an order that resulted in more usable space. Not bad for just shifting crap. This coming weekend, I can actually go to the dump, so that will hop...

Re: The past week in Car repair

As usual, sounds like you can't stop tinkering even when you already had a well working procedure, lol. I'd expect nothing less from you sir. However, I can't tell if that was a "piss off" or not. Been a while since we've spoken and not sure if I'm up on my Brian-speak. Just got done pulli...

Re: The past week in Car repair

Sold the Ghia and it left today. Move the Scirocco to the back yard and will be getting ready to put it up for sale. This no means that the time has come to finally start working on bringing the cabby back to life. I'll be pulling all the motor cycles out of the garage tomorrow and re-arranging the ...

Re: The past week in Car repair

I'll have to take a vid of all the dust and crap that comes off Crabby when I start prepping her.

Man, I'm really not looking forward to how many leaks spring up when I awaken Crabby Cabby from her Multi-year slumber soon.

Re: Happy St. Paddy's Day.

Hope you had a good one Brian. Cristine and I worked all day, but she was awesome and put the Corned Beef & Cabbage n the slow cooker that morning. So when we were both home around 9pm we had a proper Irish dinner. We also have more for tonight and possible for tomorrow.

Re: Every other VW site is talking about it, so here we go

Not sure how it will work out up in the GWN, but down here in the states I'm not counting on there being a fix. VW has pretty much said that the cars can't be retro fitted with the addblue. What that means, who knows for sure. Lots of chatter about there being a buyback. If the EPA sticks to their g...

Re: Two of my favorite songs......

Merry Christmas Brian and thanks for the tunes. I'll have that stuck in my head all day I'm sure. I would say it would drive my co-workers nuts, but it's just me in the office today till about 2pm.

Re: Well, it's been a bumpy few past months for the Cabby...

Thanks Brian. As far as a GTG, I would plan something like that in warmer months, lol. Not this unseasonably warm month though. Nothing like having to turn on the AC on Christmas eve. However, I might see about dropping by on a weekend just for a visit or maybe to even lend you a hand with one of th...
