Re: More questions 81 cabby 1.7 gas 5mt

I figure with a different power plant (1.8l) I might be able to find more opportunities with the newer engine style, just nervous about wiring and engine mount location. I am not interested making more power just driving for a few years.

Re: More questions 81 cabby 1.7 gas 5mt

I am in cumming and work out of Norcross (peachtree Ind and Metlock bridge). The pull a parts are great but Rabbits are rare and the Lithonia is a haul but a great place to pull parts. I work for Genuine Parts (support Napa pos systems). We don't have much on the cars, but some sites on the web carr...

Re: More questions 81 cabby 1.7 gas 5mt

Thank you for your reply. About the auditable alarm. I have replaced the original gauges on the console. I put a regular temp gauge where the oil tem guage used to be. My dash water temp and oil temp both work. I have a replacement oil pressure and sender, it too works with a pressure just over 20 l...

Re: 81 cabby cold start grounds

Thank you a great diagram for vac routing. I am not sure if I want to leave the AC. I have a few more pictures see notes on the pictures. I found where the aux air and cold start were cut from the harness, buried under the heater hoses, should be a fun place to try and splice. I saw something about ...

Ok the cold start grounds and test ports have been fixed. the electrical connection for the cold start and the aux air reg are no where to be found. I have a piece of harness with both connectors but can find a spot where they were removed on my car, any suggestions where to look.

Re: 81 A/C manual trans cold start/EGR

the part I thought was egr turned out to be aux air reg. and the parts I am missing are idle boost valve. The wiring I remove from the 82 had connectors for aux air reg and the cold start, the wiring originated over by the master cly. Would that be where the thermal time switch is. Your picture do a...
