Re: LED Tail Lights
I don't believe it is the actual LED bulbs. There is a small circuit board in there and I believe that a component of the circuit board has burned out.

LED Tail Lights
So my wife's tail light goes out in her Mercury. No problem I will just replace the bulb. No bulb, LED's. So she takes it to the dealer, they call and tell her $550 to replace it including labor. We quickly say no. I call another dealer and ask how much is the part, the parts guy asks if I have chec...

Yeah, this is the drivers side. I will just get the tie rod, I already have the tie rod end and luckily the tie rods like a lot of parts on the Rabbits are pretty cheap

Re: 1984 Rebuild
Back to the saga of the tie rod end. So I tried the impact socked and no luck, heated it and again no luck. Time for the big tools  I got out the dremel and cut off disks. Cut the end off then made a cut completely down the one side. /spray PB Blaster put the wrench on it and it just spins. Ma...

Re: 1984 Rebuild
Yesterday was a good day for the Rabbit. The passenger side front end is all put back on. Drivers side is another story. Stupid tie rod end. The socket and impact wrench did not take it off! It looks like it is back to the heat and pipe wrench

Re: 1984 Rebuild
So I have been having a problem pressing on the sway bar bushings. No matter what I did I could not get them to slide on, so I took them to my in-laws over the holidays. I used my father-in-laws "man vise" instead of my little boy vise to hold it then used the C-clamp and it went right on....

Re: 1984 Rebuild
Yesterday I was able to install the new ball joints and control arm bushings. On the bushings I first tried the C-Clamp method but it kept slipping off. Then I tried the long bolt method and it worked like a charm.

Re: 1984 Rebuild
Thanks Brian, I found a picture on Samba and I am missing a pulley. It was there originally because the belt was on it, so I took it off and put it somewhere for safe keeping. This weekend I will look in the boxes of parts that I have
