Well... Yes and No. OK there is no real ajustment to the shifting linkage. But there is such a thing called a short shifter kit that does shorten up the movement of the shifter. I gather that thoose that have them installed, love em. I haven't installed one in either of my cars, but I do agree that...

...But on a brighter note, the DMV waived the back fees from 2008, so my bill went from almost 900 for the back fees to 194 for everything

just when i thought i was gonna be able to install the interior today i broke the damn ignition housing tab for the indicator switch...already ordered a new one, so i guess i'll just finish up the suspension and brakes

Then you can use the flat metal out of a Stanley Combination square for the flat bar stock, that is what I used for years. Well I am fairly well versed in VW diesel. Don't forget the fenders as your westy ones will look funny :) im learning the diesel is a pretty easy platform to deal with, just need some specialized tools. my rabbit has been pretty flawless the entire time ive owned it. other than it goes through brak...

Not sure how I missed all that. That really does suck. I know the feeling though, have rod knock in my rocco as well, but it was my own stupid fault. As for the flywheel, as much as that sucks, stick with the factory unless you are wanting to drag race it on the 1/4 tracks a lot. The alum one reall...

its an easy fix (#3 rod bearing)

apparently they stole my aluminum flywheel and installed a factory one in its place

So.....less than 1000 miles on my engine and its time to do a rebuild (again), the shop that did the rebuild is not honoring backing their work, so im doing it myself (now that i have the space to do it...just wish i had the space back then) the engine is getting a knock at about 2500 rpm...leads me...
