my friend has a Digifant II (yes, 1989-1992 stock injection) with a turbo.

I'll ask him how he did it.

Furthermore, I'm working in the same projet for this winter.

There's a shitload of 1.8 8v turbo in my area (About 15)

Cabby <-> Scirocco interchagability.

Getting a 86 Scirocco next week (for 1$ CDN (lower car sale price possible in Quebec; the symbolic dollar) I was wondering if a Plastic Cabriolet fuel tank can fit in a small spare 86 Scirocco. Thank you :) (The 86 Scirocco might have a fuel tank leakage problem, so I'm checking my options. Other th...

Best answer is to check with you local automotive guys that do the regulation or control center. See the law that currently applies to the emissions of a 1982 car. Verify with competent VW dealer or European forums. (Here, it's mostly US spec cars) BTW, who cares about polluting ? My diesel doesn't ...

ABA/1.8 head, Euro GTI 1800 cam or Drake cam, Port and Polish, header or 4-2 manifold and 2-1 TT Tall block downpipe, complete 2.25" exhaust. (2.5" is a hassle to fit), Audi 5000 Throttle Body

And more costly, oversided valves. (Or just get a drake head)

here, 92 and under engines are easy to get. VW rust bad here if not taken care of. So seldom, you find a totally rusted and rooted body with a nice engine and transmission for cheap. 250$CDN Passat GL :) Ok, that's a freaking deal but we see some randomly around 500$CDN :) Buying a uber-nice Jetta A...

Wow !!! Probably cause you got a lot more VR6 on Calif than we got here. For 3000$CDN, you get everything, ECU, tranny, etc The best bang for the buck right now here are the diesel swaps (all 3 engines), 2.0 16v, G60 swap and ABA bottom/1.8 head and 1.8 bottom, 2.0 head and TD turbo. (similar to G60...

Maybe where you live. Here, the market is fucked up. 800$, you have a complete TDI engine without transmission. 200$ = 1.6TD engine 400$ = 1.9TD engine (All canadian funds) A VR6 engine runs in the 4000$ (quite rare here) A G60 engine runs in the 800$ (we got Corrado G60 and Passat G60 here) A 1.8T ...

go 1.8T
the weight difference is a lot

Here in Quebec, we have a few (well, about 10) A1 with 1.8T and they all decided to do it over the VR6.

Reason, weight and space.
A VR6 in an A1, the frame has a tentency to split ....

1.8T .... we got a local dynoing at 343whp :)

What I really like is the fact that it has the black stripes removed. I really hate them as they're always falling off on mine. (Sister's)
