Thanks Brian, I really appreciate the information. I just hate to mess up the cardboard because it's in so good of shape. Thanks again for you help.

Buttons in Trunk

I need a stupid question answered. I'm trying to get to the tail lights thru the trunk to install so new side marker lights. My problems is removing the little buttons that keep in place the cardboard panels. I'm tearing up the buttons or destroying the cardboard. Is there an easy way to remove thes...

Hello and Happy New Year

Hello to everyone and Happy New Year. Sorry I haven't posted in a while but I'm once again the President of the Middle Tennessee Volkswagen Club so I've been busy getting the year off and running. Meetings with the activity committee and putting together our yearly activities. Takes a lot of time. J...

Hey Gull, I noticed a quote at the end of your message by Bob Hoover. Is that the Bob Hoover who is a pilot and does amazing things with an Aero-Commander? The Bob Hoover I know of is an excellent pilot who does a lot of air shows. Just wondering if it was the same person.

Hey Brian, thanks for the information. Drove the car yesterday and the gauge worked. Don't think I will attempt the remove the cluster, pretty big job for me. Anyway, maybe it will continue to register.

Thanks for your help.

WOW HEAT

Well after years of driving air cool VW's and no heat, I drove my Cabby to my monthly VW meeting last night and what a delight to have had heat. As a matter of fact, I had to turn the fan back to 0 as it got plum toastie inside. Think I'm going to like this little water cooled babe. One question for...

Hey thanks Brian, I unstopped the drains today. The one on the passenger side wasn't stopped up but the drivers side had about two inches of water in it. Although you told me where the drain hole was on that side, I lack to have never found it. But I did with the help of some wire and just poking ar...

Hey Brian, let me ask a dumb question, where are the drain holes located, under the rain tray??? I looked the other day and I had water standing under the rain tray and it's rained every day since so I haven't had a change to check it out. Sure need to get the water out of there. I must have drain h...

Thanks, I appreciate that but I will probably bring a car to BAP to sell. If not, I just might drive my Cabbie up there. Thanks for the offer.

Thanks for the advice but I had really rather spend my money on cars and car parts rather than cameras. It's not that I can't afford a camera, its I just never took interest in photography. Everytime I take a picture, I just waste film. Something about me and camera's that just don't jive. _________...

Trouble with photos, I don't have a scanner nor a digital camera. Don't know of any other way to post pictures without one of those two. Is there a way?

I was afraid of that so I'll just have to design something myself. I designed one for the 56 ragtop that everyone loves. I had it on the car the year I showed the 56 at BAP and I bet I could have sold a hundred of them. Many who came by was asking about it. It works with two pins that goes thru the ...

Hitch-Receiver

Do any of you have a trailer hitch-receiver on their Cabby? I'm looking for a receiver for my 92 Cabby but so far have been unable to find one. I've seen the stationary hitch but I want a receiver so I can remove the ball when not in use.

Hey Calimus, I have stayed at the Holiday Inn and also the Best Value just as you are entering the park. Both are OK but the Best Value at the parks gate is very convenient. Very reasonable also, think I paid $49.00 this year.
