Re: top leaks
i ended up running silicon glue (aquarium glue is best) right down the edges of the rubber parts the window rolls up into. i know some use some slippery stuff to slide them back on when they are putting the top back together but trust me u need glue. water will come in.

Re: plastic trim with snap for boot
The bar that goes accoss the top, (above your head if you were sitting in the back seat) was hitting the window/frame when you tried to put the top down. When he reattached the the headliner to it I think he tied it up wrong. He fixed it. As far as the snap covers... When I took my originals off, bo...

Re: plastic trim with snap for boot
thank you well today i tried to put the top down and of course it wont go down seem's like one of the support beams (above your head if u were sitting in the back seat) is hitting the top of the window preventing it from folding down. also when i put it back up, on the sides right above the plastic ...

plastic trim with snap for boot
I had my top replaced. I have a question for you all. There are two little plastic parts (somewhat triangle in shape) on each side of the car that have 2 screws in them, one is a screw/snap combo in which you snap on the boot cover to when the top is down. They were taken off when the vinyl was repl...

Re: Your opinions on a new top

Re: Cabriolet site
Phil If thats your silver Cabriolet, it looks great. Will you send a pic to RabbitRagtop.com? Your photos are at great angles and the car looks flawless. Surprised you show the license plate though, after reading your comments about names and emails on RabbitRagtop. I am confident the License bureau...

Re: Cabriolet site
Thx Phil, The site is mine. The owners section is optional. It shows the city + state in which owners are from (only, no address) and the email if they choose so that one another can communicate. I also do not show license plate numbers unless the owner sent them to me that way or the plate is from ...

Re: Your opinions on a new top
Thanks for the thoughts, maybe CabrioWorld will work ok. Now I just need a reasonable installer that will do it with parts I buy myself so they cant mark that up too!

rolling down the window
I recently tightened up the screw on my (drivers front)window crank, as it was getting loose. Now when i roll the window down it wont go down all the way, it leaves about an inch to go. Tightening that window crank screw should not have effected the window travel but it did. I had this problem when ...

Your opinions on a new top
Can anyone tell me their opinion on what brand vinyl replacement top to buy? I do not want to spend a lot but I know some of the less costly ones are low quality and look bad. I have a 1986 Wolfsburg with a grey top. Anyone have any experience with the tops CabrioWorld sells? They seem almost too ch...
