Re: Huh?

Fortunately, it's pretty easy to pull Beetle engines. Helps to have really long arms to work on them.

Ah, ok. Cool. It's almost a full time job keeping up with all the sites. One of these days I'll be going on disability for carpal tunnel syndrome.

Thanks!

Huh?

Hi all. I haven't been around in awhile (bought a '63 beetle ragtop that has been dominating my time, among other things, both work and play related...). Decided to see what the 152 gang was up to and the website's down. So, what's up? Did Lucky get hacked, attacked, bushwhacked, what...? Fortunatel...

I'm green with envy. I haven't been able to have the beard since my first post-college job. Had one from about 15 so I could buy beer 8). Have to be able to wear a respirator now though. I only get to grow it during vacations... Foxy Fox by the way... Sorry to drag this off topic. Don't feel too bad...

They are tricky cars to have for daily drivers... If you're interested, try http://www.the152.com and put out an APB for Fry (Chris). He's in Philly and may be able to help you out. In the mean time pick up a Bentley manual for the car. If your guy can fix American cars, he can fix these. Auto elect...

Nice! Love the engine and interior. If you get a chance, post some pics from show (http://www.photobucket.com is fairly easy to use). Be interesting to see what y'all are up to...

Thanks.

Shoulda sprung for the eye patch. I've heard RI girls go for that sort of thing... Arrrr. Wish I'd been paying more attention back in January. I must have passed farely close on my run up the interstate from the Prov. airport to Boston. Would have been interesting to see your collection. Oh we...

Ah, a connoisseur of pick-a-pulls. Will definately look you up on my next visit. I'll probably be up there in July. I think my motor mounts are going too. I replaced the injectors and that helped smooth the idle alot but now I have a clunking noise that rears its ugly head when I start off from a st...

No, the hood was down, lucky me. No clue as to why it let go. Just pulled up from my 1/2 ride back from work, shut the car down in the driveway and boom. Spread baking soda all over and hosed it down quick so the paint didn't get trashed. Only time that's ever happened to me.

The Cabby owner is a rare breed down here. Mk1's are few and far between. There are 5 or 6 among the various Houston Clubs. As I mentioned, http://www.europeanag.com may be a good bet for local watercooled info. Although they tend to lean more towards Mk3 & 4's (and Houston/Austin). For Dallas -...
