is there a trick to changing the lock assembly on the outside door handle ? I'm changing out the door handle that does not have a new lock so I have to use the old lock, which I already have keys for of course. 89 cabby drvers outside door handle
how is the drivers side outside door handle attached at the rear side of the handle ? I pull on the handle and it separates at the rear of the handle from the body. is there a screw to hold the handle in place and how is it accessed ? thanks

89 cabby has no struts at all, so i'm lost on ordering parts and what size and how they fit. How many are needed and what size ? I see briano posted a site for less expensive struts, but I don't know what size I need. There has to be DIY pics for installation somewhere. .........thanks

thanks briano.....I did'nt realize the console gauge was for oil.....I won't worry about that one since it seems to be ok. The temp. gauge in the dash usually runs with needle stright up in the middle range and covers the red light. the red light only comes on with slow rpm and driving slow...maybe ...

89 cabby. Lots done to it. takes 30-45 mins. to reach up to 105*c. Has been flushed. Timing belt has been replaced and supposidly water pump. Took out a.c. condensor unit in front of radiator for more air flow to radiator. That seems to have helped a little. Fan does run but seems it has to reach a ...

Turned out to be the lamda relay ( fuel injection power relay ) on fuse panel. changed that and took care of the loud buzzing and hard starting. This seems to be a faily common problem over time due to the fuse/relay panel getting wet from the cabbys' nortorious water leak issues.......................

HELP.....my daughters 89 cabby has a VERY loud buzzing frequency control valve. What/why is it doing this and what to do about it.? What does the very LOUD buzzing indicate ? What do we need to change out for proper operation. Car runs fine other than the LOUD buzz................thanks j3f

yep.....thanks phil. I plan to get my daughter involved since it's her car. We've put a lot of time and $$$ into this car as we got screwed by the seller. He lied thru his smiling teeth ! unfortunatly there are people like this out there and I should have known better, but it runs great great now ! ...

ok.....thanks. You've been a big help. I've checked wrecking yards around a wide area and some parts are HARD to find let alone a wrecked cabby. I'll continue my search. I have one plastic piece on one armrest but need one more. if nothing else, I may have to make one !!! thanks jim wa7goe
